| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 29, 2009 Bottle from SL. The pour was dark brown-black, some off-whtie to tannish colored head. The lacing was ok. The aroma was chocolate and cocoa, some roasty elements. Flavor was chocolate, cocoa, roast, with metallic and astringency elements in the finish, not very clean at all. No tropical notes. Mouthfeel was moderate to light for the style, finishing somewhat acidic and squeeky. Another mediocre OC offering, although I suppose I should be content it wasn’t subpar.... or was it? Perhaps. Beerdedone (1885), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 23, 2009 Bottle: Poured a black brown wth a fast acting and retreating tan head. Aroma is soft coffee, roasted malt, and sweet sugar. Taste is sweet roasted/smoked malts, very hoppy on the backside of the tongue. Interesting take on a foreign stout from a NE state. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 23, 2009 Second take on a Jamaican stout I’ve had from New England. Near black head with a thin head. Light coffee with a hint of nuttiness. The body has some thinness and some creaminess. It’s basically chocolatey with only a slight fruitiness. OK - almost like a light Baltic with its restrained fruitiness and slight saltiness. It’s got the lightness of a Jamaican stout though. Beershine (2710), Where Climate Suits My Clothes, Vietnam
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 21, 2009 Bottle @ Cock & Bull. Opaque brown-black with thick tan head and some lacing. Acidic coffee aroma. As it warms more of a cherry-chocolate smell emerges. Smooth mouthfeel with nice level of carbonation. Rich chocolate permeates the body, which is very fudgey. Has a little alcoholic punch in the finish. Decent fudgey but still dry stout that hit the spot. KnN (738), Greenbelt, Maryland, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 15, 2009 Poured a really nice deep black color with a finger’s worth of thick tan head. Aroma was toffee, chocolate and some roast with a bit of a weird twang to it. Very sweet smelling, but I kept getting hints of something onion-y or garlic. Really weird. This beer kept trying to make me decide if I liked it or not but I was on the fence all the way. Meh. argo0 (6907), Washington DC, USA
