Commercial Description:
This dark creamy stout is brewed with black malt, roasted barley, flaked barley, and caramel malt. Raw sugar cane provides a sweet tooth of rum-like flavor and aroma. East Kent and Liberty hops add balance to the sweetness.

22 oz bomber, poured jet black into snifter with small tan head dissipating to a small lacing. Aroma of chocolate and roasted malts with caramel. Nice mouthfeel I prefer a little more meaty but very good for the style. Taste: I caught some sweetness on the end on the first sip, definitely a roasted stout very similar to a smoked porter (Stone comes to mind). A little rum flavor but I would say that was alcohol mixed with the roasted malts. The more I drink the more the hops come into play drowning out the sweetness. I like this brew somewhat complex, I would guess around 7% ABV nicely balanced.

Bomber. Very dark brown with thin beige head. Aroma is light, typically roasty, but also a bit sweet. Flavor is along the same lines: some roasted coffee, sweetness, and a hint of hops at the end. Body is a bit on the thin side, but you don’t want something too heavy in Jamaica. Doesn’t feel like a lot of booze. Nice, but make sure you don’t mind the sweet touch.

Pours dark brown with large tan head. Aroma is sweet with cocoa and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate some vanilla and a slight hop bitterness. Smooth and easy drinking sweet stout.

Otter Creek Otter Mon is a black beer with a foamy beige head. Both the beer and the head have a vermilion glint. The head settles down to a coffee-colored dense film that leaves a thick foam on the glass. Roasty malt dominates the aroma. Coffee, rum, nuts, grass and spice join it. There is a touch of sweetness to the aroma. It is full bodied, but the mouthfeel lightens considerably at the end of the sip. It’s bubbly and the finish is a touch acidic. Coffee and roasted malt dominate the flavor, but it’s well balanced with the hops. There are notes of tobacco and molasses. The aftertaste is all hops... a little green. There is something a little metallic or salty in the mix. Nothing sissyish about this stout, but it’s pretty smooth drinking. Irie, mon!

Bottle 650ml ?
Appearance: Dark brown with medium large tanned top 3+
Nose : Light hoppy nose , creamy sweet side , fairly light , slightly lactic , gentle accent of chocolate
Flavor/Palate : Some acid tartness shown up front , light chocolate feel in the midlle . Finish seemed flat and fairly thin on substance mon.

Nice description on the bottle telling how this is a British influenced stout with the addition of Jamaican sugar cane, and let me just say it works wonderfully. Rich brown pour with some dark amber hues, pencil thin khaki head and lots of spotty lacing. Heavily roasted aroma, very fresh with chocolate, molasses, and coffee w/ sugar. Moderately thick and exceptionally smooth, bitter and sweet on the taste buds. Flavor is warming and tasty. Sugary coated chocolate with a hint of rum. Plenty of roasted malts, nutty and slightly burnt. Creamy and drinkable, sweet stout.

soapy head on dark brown. Thin mouthfeel with coffee in aroma and taste. Little head. Decent stout, what’s expected of this brewery.
