| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 29, 2008 On draft at Monks just ahead of realizing they had RR Temptation and Supplication bottles, both of which I easily transitioned to from this! Pour was golden in color, fake looking carbonated head. Aroma was the most strong combination of rice and light vanilla that I’ve had with pils type malts supporting. Flavor followed, definitely a grainy malt presence, but the rice and vanilla elements don’t let you forget this isn’t a normal brew. Mouthfeel had decent body for what I was expecting. Another fun brew to experience, but I didn’t want more than one.... or even a full pint for that matter. roder60 (1023), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 1, 2008 Pours a very hazy dark orange yellow color with froathy bubbly white head. Aroma is very doughy and sweet with tad citric notes - reminds me of some kind of fruit bread. Flavor is very sweet caramely, with something else fruity - almost like really sweet ripe grapes. Medium mouthfeel. Overall, very different and interesting. CaptainCougar (5494), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 28, 2008 Pours a transparent golden orange with a thin, wispy-lacing white head. Aroma of lightly sweet caramel and fruity esters with a touch of graininess and oak. Body starts semi-sweet and smooth with a mild light fruity tart balance before a drier, drinkable finish. The sake yeast makes this a pretty interesting and unique brew even if its not overwhelming. canary dog (443), Rutland, Vermont, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Oct 6, 2008 I took just one sip of this from my friend’s glass. I was drinking good beer at the time, or cider, and having a good spicy meal. What little I tried seemed very mediocre. There really isn’t much that impresses me about Otter Creek Brewery. Very mediocre microbrewed stuff. Even the body and appearance of this beer were lackluster. TheGent (150), , Massachusetts, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Sep 21, 2008 To be honest i bought this because it was very different sounding. All in all it is kinda a higher class bud. not much odor but sweet taste with a bit of rice and a good palate for a lighter beer. Maybe if i knew more about sake i could appriciate this a bit more. great beer for the price though. BelgianBeerGal (1298), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Sep 20, 2008 Bottled in Boston. Pours a clear copper colour with a small tan head. Very fruity aroma plus some yeast and sake in the back. Definitely has some sake notes in the flavour though. Interesing idea but not really my favourite style. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 31, 2008 A golden ale with a thick creamy lacing white head. Aroma is fruity, grainy, and bready, with the sake notes coming out well. In mouth, a sweet malt with caramel notes, oily mouthfeel, alcohol and fermented rice. Medium bodied.
