Jul 2, 2008 Tap @ Hop Devil. Poured a crystal clear gold color with a white head. Sweet toasted malt aroma with notes of biscuit. The flavor was lighter on the malt. Some sweetness and a fruity finish.

Jul 1, 2008 22 oz - Perfect Pour. Hazed orange, fizzy white head. Sweet rice and lychee aromas lay on hints of toasted caramel and white cake batter. Soft sweet fruity flavors ride waves of warm yeasty rice pudding from beginning to end. Light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying, semi-sweet finish. Going against the grain here, but I thought this was very unique and tasty. I’d gladly drink this again...

Jun 25, 2008 22oz bottle on 06/25/08. Somewhat hazy light golden body with a medium creamy off-white head. Sweet fruity aroma, some apples and somewhat cidery, with some bread and yeastiness. More cidery fruitiness, slight apple hints, and a bit more yeastiness. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

Jun 16, 2008 Tap at Hop Devil. This was so bad it was almost painful. In fact, I wrote my rating down as (4/3/4/1/1.2). You’ll notice that those numbers add up to 1.3 before the overall, which means I couldn’t even get this as low as I wanted. Damn.
Clear gold pour. Gross fruitiness in the nose, with spoiled rice. Light caramel, and sweet. Absolutely disgusting flavor, near undrinkable. wtf!

Jun 12, 2008 Draft at HDG. Even though it has a head, I don’t see any carbonation at all. Aroma has a slight amount of peach and if I didnt know this had something to do with sake, I’d have no idea. Flavor is plenty malty with a sweet lollipop flavor. I applaude the effort but the beer ain’t very good.

Jun 11, 2008 (draft @ The Old Toad - Rochester, NY) Amber pour with a puffy white head. Aroma is very rich with hints of bread, malts, miscellaneous grains, and some light hops. Flavor begins like a nice pils, followed by a sweet and ricey note (possibly from the sake yeast), and a bready and slightly sweet finish. Very interesting and has some light fruit notes near the end.

Jun 8, 2008 Tap at Hop Devil Grill. Pale amber beer with a thick fluffy white head. Aroma is quite rich and bready. Light tapioca and coconut over a very grainy bready flavour. Soflty fruity with a kiss of melon and pear as well. I quite like this.

May 26, 2008 22oz bottle. Poured a medium and lightly hazy golden color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of grains, rice, and a little grass. Tastes of rice, gains, and some light malty sweetness. There was ’something’ different about this that I had a harder time putting my finger on.
