Bottle from Capone’s. Pours gold with some chill haziness and minimal head. Nose is malt, some ricey sake notes, mild hops and yeasty spices. Tastes lagery, with some ricey sake notes that become apparent as it warms. I expected this to be more sake-like, but it’s more like a beer/sake hybrid, with the sake yeast giving some unique flavor and palate sensations.

Aug 3, 2008 Sample at the 2008 VT Brewers Fest - Poured a very straw yellow in color with a small white head that very quickly disappeared. Aroma was grainy, with bready yeast, and slightly sour. Flavor was a bit unusual with some malty sweetness and some fruity sourness. Interesting... perhaps worth repeating at some point.

Aug 3, 2008 This was alright, but a little too sweet for my liking. It had no discernible aroma. The color was a darker amber-gold. Not one of my favorites from Otter Creek.

Jul 13, 2008 Bottle. Light in color, body and head. Aroma unique, some hay, grain. Malty, uncoventioanl caramel sweetness, soft caky flavor with touchs of fruit, grapes I guess. I thought this was interesting and deserves a point or two for originality.

Jul 10, 2008 Courtesy of maniac. Pours a translucent dark straw with good off-white head. Nose of tannic white grapes and grits. Acidic flavor. Unusual, but not wholey unpleasant. Wouldn’t seek it out but would drink it again.

Jul 2, 2008 Tap @ Hop Devil. Poured a crystal clear gold color with a white head. Sweet toasted malt aroma with notes of biscuit. The flavor was lighter on the malt. Some sweetness and a fruity finish.
