Commercial Description:
Summer Wheat Ale is a highly drinkable, light bodied ale. The use of wheat and careful hopping produce a beer with a flavor that is slightly tart, with a citrus-like finish. Available May to September

Bottle. Light, refreshing beverage. Decent, but nothing special at all. Aroma is of citrus and yeast. Flavor is lemons and thats about it.

After pulling out a 20 ft tree and some bushes at my brother Ed’s house, this was very refreshing. Avg. white head. Aroma is citrus, yeast, wheat and hops. Flavor of lemon and wheat with some hops at the end. Very refreshing.

Pours a five finger white head that fades to a thin layer leaving traces of lace. Nearly clear pale amber color. Light carbonation and light-medium bodied. Citrusy/hoppy nose. Flavor is hoppy, no wheat, bitter metallic finish, not "highly drinkable", just above a pour. $1.50 for a 12oz bottle from Capitol Convenience Concord, NH.

bottle. i am losing faith in the otter creek. i don’t know how this one passes the brew masters test. i believe someone below mentioned a perm/burnt hair flavor and that hits it right on the head. "highly drinkable" - hardly. "critus-like" - no. like you got a mouth full of salon chemicals - yes. ok its not that bad, but, man, how does a brew like this make it out the door?

Nothing much going on here. Straight forward, average citrusy wheat. Easy to drink .... and to forgot.

bottle. golden pour. smooth. thin tastes of orange. Not all that bad but didn’t really taste like a wheat. Buy something else.

12 oz bottle. Poured hazy golden color with a hoppy aroma. The taste was bitter with notes of orange - nice summer brew.

Perfect clarity for this beer, golden hued body with a small sized white head, bubble size ranging from medium to large cola-sized bubbles. Faint, flat nose of apple juice and very light wheat. Biting astringency and prickly apple juice flavors, turning husky and sour on the back in a hurry, then finishing sour and pallid, dulling the tongue. This may be one of the more boring beers I’ve ever had. I was hoping for refreshng, or even a bit of lager bite, but this really has no redeeming qualities.
