Commercial Description:
Summer Wheat Ale is a highly drinkable, light bodied ale. The use of wheat and careful hopping produce a beer with a flavor that is slightly tart, with a citrus-like finish. Available May to September

I started rating this as a pilsener and was suprised to see it’s an American wheat. Aroma of a pilsener. Taste of a pilsener. Nice crisp dry finish...like a pilsener. For a wheat, this is not very good. As a pilsener, not too bad. I’m going to bed.

12 oz bottle. Very pale straw colour with light haze. Light wheat and straw aroma with a touch of lemony citrus. Flavour is quite refreshing if a bit plain. Light noble hop flavour, citrus and wheaty spice. Crisp body and a light tartness on the finish. On a hot day, I could put a few of these back.

Lightly grainy, sulphur/tart aroma. The body is a very pale, clear golden color with a tiny wisp of a white head. Mostly flavorless and watery with a hint of hearty grains, tartness and sulphur. If the goal was mediocrity they underachieved. I’d like to say more, but there is nothing else to smell, taste or see than what I described.

Draft and MacGregor’s in Henrietta. Clear golden color with some bubbles. Aroma is a little sweet and just a touch of citrus. Flavor is slightly citrusy, but also sweet. No wheat character or haziness. Very disappointing.

Pours pale golden with a fizzy white head. Light grassy aroma, with a musty citrus note. Flavor is also very light, similar to many a pale lager, but with a hint lemon and honey. Palate is light with a bland finish.

12oz bottle pours pale blonde with a pretty large white head. Aroma of bread, grass, grains, and slight lemon. Flavor is quite bready and grainy with some slight honey and maybe a twist of lemon. Light and refreshing on the palate but really nothing memorable about this one.
