Commercial Description:
Otter Creek World Tour fans will be glad to hear of a new "stop" in the brew series. "Otteroo" Australian Sparkling Ale is the brewery's eighth offering on this delicious brew-venture. This time the Otter is in Australia with a Sparkling Ale, a refreshing and light-bodied ale with extra bubbles and extra kick. Brewed with Australian hops, and bottle conditioned, this beer has a slight haze and fruitiness from the yeast. Cheers!

Appearance: Pours a clear, translucent orangey body with, well, no real head to speak of. Smell: Light, sweetish aroma of caramel malts and a touch of breadiness. Taste: Grainy caramel taste, lightly sweet. Some hay. Doesn’t offer much in the way of hops beyond a touch of floral. Finishes crisp. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-high carbonation. Drinkability: Man, that otter sure does get around, though I’m not sure this is my favorite stop on his worldwide adventure.

Pours yellow and slightly cloudy with a small 1/16 inch head, with average lacing. Average carbonated with a light sweet smell of malts and mild hops. Tastes light but incredibly balanced. It finishes sweet and light. Way too light for my tastes. “Where’s the flavor?”

Pours a clear orange color with a white head. Aroma is honey, some grain, and some peppery hops. Flavor is malty, honey, and a bitter peppery finish.

Nice slightly hazy golden amber coloured body with a super-thin almost non-existent head. Aroma of alcohol, malt, a bit of hops and mainly METAL - not too pleasant in the nose. Medium-bodied; Strong hoppy flavour up front then fades to a mild maltiness with some light fruit and metallic tastes near the end. Aftertaste shows some deep pit fruits, nuts and caramel near the end - along with the mainly malty taste. Overall, a decent beer, after the first few sips, it kind of grows on you. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Clarendon), Virginia on 19-April-2008.

Hazy pale body with a tiny white head. Sweet and vinous nose with toffee, brown sugar and herbs. The flavor is fairly sweet with cotton candy, herbs and green raisins. Medium body is rough with moderate carbonation and a medicinal finish.

Bottle. Pours a rusty color with a bubbly white head. The aroma is sweet and fruity with a touch of honey. The taste was quite bitter that has a biting lingering aftertaste that is not very pleasant.

who cares. Cloudy orange color, thick white head that leaves a lace. Hoppy...I suppose, one I would drink after I had a few others, not one I would start with..you know?
