Commercial Description:
Otter Creek World Tour fans will be glad to hear of a new "stop" in the brew series. "Otteroo" Australian Sparkling Ale is the brewery's eighth offering on this delicious brew-venture. This time the Otter is in Australia with a Sparkling Ale, a refreshing and light-bodied ale with extra bubbles and extra kick. Brewed with Australian hops, and bottle conditioned, this beer has a slight haze and fruitiness from the yeast. Cheers!

22oz bottle. Poured a medium and slightly hazy amberish color with an averaged sized off white head. Aroams of general fruitiness, caramel, and earthy. Tastes of the same fruitiness, caramel, and lightly grassy. I was getting a saltiness in the finish. Hmmm, the best Austrailan Style Sparkling Ale I’ve ever had (can’t say that I’ve had any others though).

Pours a transparent bright bronze with a wispy froth of white head. Aroma of slightly toasty sugary pale malt and some earthy noble hops. Starts with a mild toasty pale malty sweetness and a smooth slightly bittersweet finish. A pretty decent, and blanced brew.

Pours gold with a thin white head. Smells of butter, bread, biscuits. Tastes velvety with some toasty elements on the finish.

Bottle. pale amber beer with a slight cloudiness. Aroma is very fruity with lots of apple, pear and berry fruitiness. The smell is very reminiscent of Cooper’s sparkling, which I gather is the point. A bit of apricot. Light pale malt, soft minerally bitterness. Very fruity and lightly herbal. Vermont Brewers Fest ’07. Pale golden beer, thin head. Very faint fruity aroma up front with a cherry/berry yeastiness. Lean pale malts. Low hop aroma and flavour. A bit straight-forward and really unlike anything I had in Australia. No Pride of Ringwood (which I’m definitely not complaining about). 5 3 6 2 11

Clear honey amber. Sugary celery and grains in the nose, with a strange, sour cheese and hay flavor (thankfully not very big or pronounced), and an old, stale honey note. Has some corn and some light grassy hop notes. Nothing offensive, but pretty basic overall

Bottle from Capone’s. I always get my hopes up for these, but I usually seem to get let down. This one pours orangy coppery with 1-finger off-white head. Aroma is pale malt, overripe apricot, slight funk, earthy, and orangey notes. The taste is pale malt, slight tart pear/apricot, hopcitrus, earthy Ringwood hops, and yeast. Rather light palate, and lacking complexity. Not a great style here.
