Commercial Description:
Otter Creek Brewing’s 13th "stop" on the World Tour is available starting in October. "Otter’s Dubbel" is a Belgian-style Dubbel. True to style, it is rich and malty with a hint of caramel. The caramel comes from the use of a traditional ingredient in Belgian ales- dark candy sugar.

(22oz bottle) Medium beige head atop cloudy, dark red-brown body. Aroma is medium sweet, caramel, raisin, sourness, some cinnamon. Taste is medium sweet, sour, caramel, some raisin, cinnamon. Medium body, light stickiness. Not sure the cause of the sourness, but it strong, and has no business being in this beer.

Pours a hazy mahogany with a frothy, spotty-lacing off-white head. Aroma of tart cherries and lightly sweet biscuity caramel malt. Body starts fairly full and finely carbonated with a light toasty malty sweetness, some doughty yeasty notes and a tart light fruity balance toward the finish. I was expecting something a little sweeter calling this a dubbel, but the tartness is right on target for a Flanders red ale.

Pours reddish brown with a thin tan head. Smells and tastes fruity with some sweet sugary elements and a spicy finish. Decent.

Deep dark brown beer. Aroma of toasty and fruity oranges with a soft spicy cocoaish character over the top. Smells like Otter Creek with a bit of licorice and light toast. Flavour is a bit tart. Fruity and earthy with light soft plummy fruit. Quite rummy and sweet but not all that good.

Bottle. Pours a dark brune body with a tan head. Malty fruity body. Candied fruit, plum and dark cherries, raisins, caramel sweet with a tart finish. Licorice and a light cardboard finish, comes together quite messy. Eh.

Thanks to weeweiner138. Pours a hazy deeper brown with deep amber notes and a smaller bubbly off white head. Aroma of dark fruits, tart cherry, tobacco, light alcohol, toffee and earthy. Flavor of grapes, some tart cherry, kinda sour and funky, very sweet with loads of caramel, Belgian yeast and toffee.
