TURDFERGUSON (1125), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA Jun 2, 2008 Draught at Speakeasy this afternoon. Nose is raspberry syrup atop a layered malt base. Pretty basic, slightly tart, but mainly sweet raspberry taste that works pretty well in this beer. Light roasted malt, a bit of cocoa in the base. Slightly watery and thinnish body. It doesn’t try to be too much. It isn’t too much, but thats okay. Its an easy sipper from otter creek. middlebury is a nice town. hershiser2 (847), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA May 29, 2008 Bottle. Brown with a small off-white head. Bready and slightly fruity aroma. Very typical brown ale flavor with very very very slight raspberry. rocbyter (625), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA May 20, 2008 Strong tart raspberry aroma. Clear dark amber color with a medium but quickly diminishing head. Light malt in the beginning changing to mild sweet raspberry flavor. Finishing with strong fruity yeast. ElJefe (506), Rochester, New York, USA May 6, 2008 Reddish brown with a creamy light brown head. Aroma of chocolate and raspberries. Sweet chocolate and somewhat tart raspberry in the flavor. Way better than I expected. SHIG (1484), Oberoffligen, Germany May 4, 2008 Botle: Poured a murky brown with a tan color head. The aroma is coffee bean with chocolate/nuts. Taste is overwhelming coffee malt, if this had raspberry in it, then it was hidden well.
