Nice deep brown coloured body with strong ruby highlights and a dense tan head. Aroma of potent raspberries, roasted malt, caramel and a bit of nuts. Light-bodied; Strong roasty malt flavour with a potent set of nuts and vegetables in the taste - pretty disgusting. Aftertaste shows sugars with some good raspberry tastes if you can get past the bitter nuts. Overall, an interesting fruit beer - especially for the season. The beer shows too much metal and bitter flavours and not enough malt/body. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Norm’s in Vienna, Virginia on 18-January-2008.

12 oz bottle. Pours a dark clear burnt orange with nice beige head. Aroma is sweet raspberry, caramel, and a bit of spice. The flavor is a mild caramel with just a hint of raspberry. It gets a little bitter toward the finish, with a small roasty note and some hops. It leaves a raspberryish aftertaste. Drinkable, but not all that great.

12oz bottle-pours a thin light tan head and mahogany color. Aroma is raspberry, dark malt. Taste is raspberry with some seltzer or astringent character, medium malt-cocoa/earthy, secondary metallic hops.

POured a brown color that reminded me of a strong iced tea. There was a thin head that became just a thin film. There was a distinct raspberry aroma. There was more raspbeery in the aroma than in the taste. There was a mild taste of raspberry. Just enough to let you taste it, but not too much to kill the overall flavor. The beer had a nice backbone flavor that let the raspberry flavor just linger on the palate long enough. The overall flavor was mild. Nice beer for a change of pace.

12oz bottle-A dark amber body with a small white head and an aroma of sweetness and raspberry. Taste of full bodied with a initial taste of raspberry that lasts throughout with a little bitterness but a little weak for a brown. Otherwise not a bad tasting brew.

Raspberry aroma with some caramel malt sweetness. Body very light and taste is very light on the rasp. Very faint hop but enough to balance it out. Some odd spices also foudnd in the taste.

12 oz bottle. Pours a medium brown with a thin fizzy head. Aroma is raspberry purree- tons of sweet artificial sugar, and jammy with a wierd nutty hint. Flavor is a bit nutty with some chocolate but lots of fake raspberry notes- too sweet and the fruit just doesnt work in this beer. Meh.
