Bottle - Poured a fairly dark reddish brown in color with a small white head that quickly faded to a thin covering over the beer. Aroma is of raspberries and nutty/roasty malts. Flavor definitely has raspberry with some of the nutty roasted malts... slight sweetness that fades to some of the sourness of the raspberries. Finish is slightly bitter. OK, but not my favorite...

Bottle 355 ml
Appearance: light brown color with hint of amber in light. Medium darker shade head.
Nose: Sugary syrup of raspberry with molasses.6-
Flavor/Palate : Medium bodied. Blend of roasted and brown malt with raspberry feel. Can’t help but to say it felt a bit odd. Roastiness to dry, raspberry to sweet to blend together. Gimmick like.

The use of raspberries in dark beers has always seemed like a good combination to me due to how well the flavors compliment one another, and this offering reinforces my preference. Aromas of fruity, fermented raspberries and nutty, burnt/roasted malts. Dark cherry/mahogany pour producing a thin, bubbly head and moderate lacing. Medium to light bodied with a solid balance. Not too hearty, but not overly sweet. Dry, tart raspberry flavor, and it tastes like the right amount was used. The raspberries show themselves then slowly walk away to make room for flavors of coffee, nuts, and roasted malt. A quiet bitter aftertaste is coupled with a hint of chocolate. An enjoyable and friendly beer.

Pours dark reddish brown with off white head. Raspberry and sweet malt in the nose, smells like candy. Malt and raspberry with a touch of caramel and wheat, finishes a bit sour, very flat tasting. Medium mouthfeel, it looks thicker than it is. Seems to be missing something. OK.

Poured dark brown with a tan head. Fruity raspberry nose. Taste was mainly raspberry and dark fruit with some sourness.

Bottle. Very nice brown with a lot of carbonation. Aroma is a little biscut and a little raspberry. Taste is a bit muddled. A bit of biscut brown, which is good, but raspberry doesn’t fit in well (even though it should). Ok.

Nice color, unfortunately the beer doesn’t match. Aroma is sweet, slightly raspberry. Flavor is strong with raspberry, kind of flat-bitter tasting, like soda water. better than some other raspberries, because it does have some characteristics of a brown ale, but overall just not that pleasing.
