Nov 27, 2008 (Bottle). Strong raspberry aroma. Reddish brown body, small head. Flavor is predominantly raspberry, and sweet, much like a raspberry soda pop. Little else going on. Refreshing, but difficult to value as a "beer".

Oct 15, 2008 (bottle - 12 oz) Murky brown color with a tan head. Aroma is light with some hints of chocolate, caramel, and the lightest touch of raspberries. Some bitterness as well. Flavor has a light and soapy touch of raspberries right at the front that rolls around nicely but then gives way quickly to a bitter hop and slightly roasted malt finish. Bitterness lingers for a bit.

Oct 5, 2008 Well this one must not hold up with age! 2007 bottle pours hazy dark brown with ruby highlights and small cream colored head. Aroma of roast malt and cocoa powder, almost a chocolate covered cherry as it warms. Extremely vegetal flavor. Almost all trace of raspberries has disappeared. Chocolatey bittersweet finish. Must be better fresh.

Sep 9, 2008 bottle. Smells of light roasted malt, wood and hops. There is also some chocolate and raspberry in the aroma. Flavor is a subdued sweet with soda-pearly carbonation. Flavor is a bit superficial, of light chocolate, wood, roasts and rasberry notes. Unfortunately, finish is too empty and simple. OK, just like most Otter Creek offerings.

Sep 7, 2008 A clear mahoganny brown ale with a thick moka head. Raspberry mash with light chocolate notes. In moth, a light nuuty brown ale with raspberry juice and acidity, raspberry seeds, light coffee. Medium bodied. Tasted August 2008.

Jun 2, 2008 Draught at Speakeasy this afternoon. Nose is raspberry syrup atop a layered malt base. Pretty basic, slightly tart, but mainly sweet raspberry taste that works pretty well in this beer. Light roasted malt, a bit of cocoa in the base. Slightly watery and thinnish body. It doesn’t try to be too much. It isn’t too much, but thats okay. Its an easy sipper from otter creek. middlebury is a nice town.

May 29, 2008 Bottle. Brown with a small off-white head. Bready and slightly fruity aroma. Very typical brown ale flavor with very very very slight raspberry.

May 20, 2008 Strong tart raspberry aroma. Clear dark amber color with a medium but quickly diminishing head. Light malt in the beginning changing to mild sweet raspberry flavor. Finishing with strong fruity yeast.
