(12oz bottle) Small beige head that diminishes to the rim, atop clear, dark brown body. Aroma is moderately sweet, raspberry, honey, some chocolate, light caramel. Taste is medium sweet, caramel/chocolate, raspberry, light earthy. Astringency pounces as the beer warms. Light-medium body, light acidity.

12oz bottle. Poured a medium to deeper reddish brown color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of raspberries, chocolate (to some extent, chocolate covered raspberries), and chocolate. Tastes of raspberries, chocolate, and caramel. Lively body with a tinny / metalic finish. I honestly didn’t think the raspberry aroma was that bad.

12oz bottle-pours a thin light tan head and mahogany color. Aroma is raspberry, dark malt. Taste is raspberry with some seltzer or astringent character, medium malt-cocoa/earthy, secondary metallic hops.

Pours a transparent dark copper ruby with a thin ring of wispy off-white head. Aroma of lightly sweet and toasted caramel malts and decent fruity raspberry notes. Body starts about average with some lightly sweet toasty malts and raspberry balance. Finishes lightly bittersweet and pretty smooth. A decent fruit beer.

Bottle. Pours brown with a tan head. Smells of caramel, raspberries, sugar, some dough. Tastes of raspberries, chocolate, sugar, some earthy hints, tea. Mouthfeel is watery. Finish yields some sweetness. This is surprisingly refreshing for what it is.

12oz bottle from Ye Olde Spirit Shop in Frederick. Deep garnet brown colored body with a nicely formed tan head, sticky, patchy and frothy in appearance. I can smell the thing a few feet away, the sickly sweet scent of raspberry kool-aid offends my nostrils, and the striking aroma of cough lozenges warm me of what’s to come, but I’m stupid so I drink it anyway, and it turns out even worse than it smells, with extremely weak body, a purtid old moldy raspberry flavor (complete with raspberry hairs) finishes weak and nearly completely empty, until a rebirth of the candied and medicinal fruit flavors wash over the mouth long after the drink is finish. Ugh.

Bottle. Deep brown pour with off-tan head. Nose is malt, mild berry, some earthy, hops, and nuts. Palet is medium, and the complexity lacks, giving next to no raspberry flavors, and malty, mildly hoppy, and some finishing nutty notes. Never again.
