Commercial Description:
Otter Creek World Tour - Next Stop: The Baltic States. People of the Baltic states like their bread hearty and dark, and their porter is no different. Baltic porters are full of deep roasted malt flavor with only a touch of hops. These beers will warm you up - a much needed feature in these countries where winters are harsh and long. Foreigners wonder how they survive there. I think I have found the answer. Now you can enjoy the full hearty flavor of a Baltic porter here in the comfort of your homeland. TERVIST!

22 oz. bottle. Pours a dark brown with some reddish highlights when held against sunlight. Moderate tan head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass. Very pleasant aroma of chocolate and lightly roasted malt. The flavor is again chocolate and lightly roasted malt, along with a bit of coffee. Mild bitterness at the finish. Medium bodied. A very solid porter.

Pours dark brown with mahogany edging, and a quarter inch head of beige. A few streaks and dots of lacework thoughout, but the head dissapates to a ring around the goblet and a placid surface. Aromatics lead off with nougat, caramel fudge, dark chocolate, and roasted malt. Very rounded and smooth in the nose, with a creamy essence. The mouthfeel is creamy and slick. Medium to thick body. Chocolate, caramel, and coffee on the pallet, with low bitterness and a nice balance of residual sweetness and drying acridity. Alcohol is barely warming and the beer is highly drinkable. Finishes with lingering caramel, chocolate, and nougat. One of Otter Creeks better brews. It reminds me of the new Cadillac Mountain Stout, but without the Ringwood.

From bomber. Rich malt, roasted grain, chocolate and Tootsie Roll, light molasses and a bit of smoke. Dusty, light herbal notes. Carbonic and light alcohol vapor. Sweet, musky, and pleasant. Dark brown-black clear, with thin off-white, almost tan, lightly lacing head. Medium heavy watery body, with light to medium carbonation, smooth. Starts sweet with chocolate and Tootsie Roll, mild toffee and molasses. Some bitter roasted malt in the finish with mild hoppy bitterness. Not harsh in the finish, but rather creamy and smooth. A tad watery, but very flavorful and satisfying. After is sweet with coffee and chocolate, light licorice, but in no way cloying.

Pours jet black with froathy tan head that quickly dissaptes into bubbly film. Aroma is sweet baking chocolate. Flavor is sweet chocolate with slight bitter undertone and some alcohol presence. Overall, very good.

Courtesy of Gilliard. The aroma is dusty with overcooked fruit notes, earth and fresh unwashed veggie notes. Some fairly noticeable alcohol too. The body is a ruddy brown with a receding tan head. The flavor is earthy, herbal, roasted malt and chocolate, dark rye bread and some mild sweetness, but that earthy/durty flavor is off putting.

22 oz. bottle from Premier Gourmet - Pours a clear brown color with red edges and a medium size light tan head. Very light lacing. Aroma is mainly roasted malt. Flavor is roasted malt and light chocolate. Medium body. A nice, easy drinking beer.
