Commercial Description:
Otter Creek World Tour - Next Stop: The Baltic States. People of the Baltic states like their bread hearty and dark, and their porter is no different. Baltic porters are full of deep roasted malt flavor with only a touch of hops. These beers will warm you up - a much needed feature in these countries where winters are harsh and long. Foreigners wonder how they survive there. I think I have found the answer. Now you can enjoy the full hearty flavor of a Baltic porter here in the comfort of your homeland. TERVIST!

Pours a three-finger light tan head that fades slowly to a thin layer leaving a good lace. Deep mahogany almost black color. Chocolate/coffee nose. Medium carbonation and medium-heavy bodied. Flavor is roasted coffee, some sweetness, clean finish. 22oz bottle $3.99 from Capitol Convenience Concord, NH.

Bottle. Dark brown, blackish pour with a thin tan head. Aroma of chocolate and burnt coffee. Taste of coffee, chocolate, smoked nuts and a hint of vanilla with a medium body. Strong dry hoppy finish. Great porter!

The color is a too light for what I’d call a porter, with hardly any head. The smell is roasty and winey, with a dash of cirtic hops. Some dairy and coffee aromas, and faint cardboard and plastic. Very creamy and rich, warming and soothing. Clean on the palate, very bittersweet. The coffee and chocolate notes shine though, with sulfuric acidity. Long, creamy finish prevails in the end. Good stuff coming from a brewery I never took too seriously before.

From bomber. Rich malt, roasted grain, chocolate and Tootsie Roll, light molasses and a bit of smoke. Dusty, light herbal notes. Carbonic and light alcohol vapor. Sweet, musky, and pleasant. Dark brown-black clear, with thin off-white, almost tan, lightly lacing head. Medium heavy watery body, with light to medium carbonation, smooth. Starts sweet with chocolate and Tootsie Roll, mild toffee and molasses. Some bitter roasted malt in the finish with mild hoppy bitterness. Not harsh in the finish, but rather creamy and smooth. A tad watery, but very flavorful and satisfying. After is sweet with coffee and chocolate, light licorice, but in no way cloying.
