| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 11, 2008 Bottle. Pours chill hazy deep gold with very little head. Nose is grainy pale malt, lemongrassy hops. Tastes of Saazy, lemongrassy hops, with grainy pale malt and some honey and wheaty notes. There’s nothing offensive here, but there’s not really any way for me to give this a higher score, either. I think Barry’s last statement sums up my feelings on this one as well. bma4573 (136), Mechanicsville, Maryland, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 10, 2008 Pours a clear golden color, with a little carbonation and a full lacy head. Good kolsch, nice light refreshing beer with a bit of a sour hop after taste. Agree with Gmoney, good summer beer. Gmoney (257), ManchVegas, New Hampshire, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 2, 2008 Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Sweet aroma with notes of fruit and caramel, maybe even cherry. Medium body with a touch to much carbonation. Flavor is again sweet and very clean, with notes of caramel. Nice enough bitter finish. Very drinkable and refreshing. cheapdark (2024), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 1/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 27, 2008 12 oz bottle. pale yellow color and appearance. Smells like old blast furnace slag. Fairly bitter on the initial palate impact, somewhat like many pilsners I’ve had. Flavor is clean and clear. Finish has a bit of bitter linger. LiebeBier (793), Annapolis, Maryland, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 23, 2008 Bottle - Clear golden color with a moderate white head. Aroma is sweet, slightly butterscotch, malty and grassy. I have really come to enjoy the simple complexity that Kolsch beers present. Malt body with the sweet flavors of the malted wheat coming through. I prefer my Kolsch a bit crisper, but did enjoy this and would buy it again. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 18, 2008 Bottle. Crap looking macro gold color with a foamy white head. Aroma a combination of dusty straw, fresh grass and wet towels. Flavor not too different from a run-of-the-mill pale lager. Lightly sweet straw malts and some grassy hops in the back. Maybe a bit of the hard water, mineral/metal thing underneath. Totally boring esp. for a special seasonal offering. Not entirely off-putting, but really not worth buying. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Feb 16, 2008 12 ounce bottle from City Market in Burlington, VT (February 2008) served a little below cellar temperature from a Coors Banquet glass. Pours very clear gold, the head fills half the glass, white and chunky and lacing thickly as it subsides....nose is quite light, almost indistinct, herbal and grassy, some nice touches of biscuity malt, no problems really except that its so vague....body is fairly dry up until the somewhat bitter, spicy finish; noble hops and pils malt character are in evidence, this is certainly an attempt at authenticity, but it’s a bit too thin and watery and yeah, I get a touch of that metallic character that others mention, though the beer sweetens a bit with warmth and more malt presence counterbalances the harshness somewhat....like most of this brewer’s beers, not bad enough to irritate me, but not good enough to try again either.
