Commercial Description:
Spring Ale Special Release is a German-style Kölsch: a bright golden ale originating in Cologne. Craft brewed with 2-row malt and malted wheat, and hopped with Tettnang and Liberty hops, this beer is crisp and refreshing with a dry finish.

Golden in color with a nice puffy head. Smell is malt and yeast with some sourness and hops. Flavor is somewhat malty with fairly strong hops and bread. Finish is pleasant with only a touch of drying and some lingering citrus. Overall, not a bad beer. I would drink it again.

From a 12 fl. oz. bottle, 2008 series. Pours golden-orange with little to no head. Slow carbonation but continual. Aroma of malts, grass, hops, and citrus. Decent mouth feel. It is a challenge to describe the taste. Defintely malts and light hops, but there is something else there like muffins. Dry finish. Despite my difficulty identifying the flavors, it really wasn’t too bad.

Pretty average drinker. Yellow. Some bright fruit hints but generally plain grain profile. Light palate, with a curious finish, not exactly hops but something odd going on. Bottle in Maryland.

12 oz bottle. Pours pale yellow color with an abundant frothy white head. Most prominent note in the aroma is from the malt. Very tasty beer, light but not lacking flavor. Not as crisp as a pils and I would call the finish a little sweet, not dry.
