12 oz bottle courtesy of daknole(thanks). Pours an opaque black color with a medium khaki head. The aroma was light with roasted malts and chocolate milk duds. The flavor, unlike the aroma, was bold with smoked malts, ash, burnt toast, coffee and biter dark chocolate. The mouthfeel was just a bit thin, the carbonation was lively, and there was a bit of acidity. The finish was short in duration with biter walnuts. Overall: A very enjoyable porter.

Bottle from JJPM74!- Deep charcoal pour with a frothy mocha head that sits atop. Nice lace and head retention. Roasty nose has vanilla and wood smoke, with caramel and nuts, coffee and toasty bread crust. Tasted milky and sweet with a nice marked roasted, smoke bitterness. A bit of vanilla and caramel sweetness with coffee bean and dark chocolate bitterness create the flavour profile. Creamy and smooth, well balanced. Thanks John!

From bottle : Pours a dark brown color, with a healthy finger of white foamy head, and some decent lacing. A very pleasing aroma to my nose, roasted malts like nobodys biz, and some coffee as well. Taste has a little hop presents, but mainly back to the roasted malt theme. Finishs with some serious coffee notes, and a nice sweetness. Nice palate, and a medium to light body. Pretty nice porter except for the body, needs to be a little thicker.

12 oz bottle pours opaque brownish/black. Nice thick head. Roasted malts and some coffee in the aroma. Nice balance of sweet malts and bitter malts and hops. A bit thin for a porter, IMO.

Herbal, soy, spicy aroma. Some sweetness. Taste is lots of sweetness. Lots of sweetness. Some cocoa, roast, hoppiness. More sweetness. Tastes like a ton of DME and a touch of hops. Eh. Okay.

12 oz. bottle from Wine Warehouse. Ruby-tinted brown pour with a medium head. Poor retention. Aroma of caramel and roasted malts. Taste is roasted malts, chocolate, earthiness. Medium carbonation and body.

Good, solid, workaday porter. No off characteristics. Poured with a lovely frothy foamy head and lotsa lace. Very dark/opaque color. Chocolatey earthy yet soft flavor and body. Clean and balanced. Really good beer. Session as a matter of FACT. Haw. God is on my side.

Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Pours a dark brown with red hue, tan head. Aroma of chocolate. Flavor of chocolate, dark roast, slight bitter. Mouthfeel is light body, watery, and high carbonation. Overall, allthough the characteristics of a good porter are there, just needs more "Umph" in flavor and mouthfeel. Nice looking bottle though.........
