Bottle from Jungle Jims. Poured dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate toasted nutty malt aroma. Medium to full body. Medium roasted balanced flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable beer.

Pours like a pretty standard porter, dark with a thin tan head. The aroma isn’t very complex. Consisting mostly of burnt coffee and some lite fruit hoppiness. The flavor is surprisingly full although lacking in complexity. Mostly burnt coffee and bitter bakers chocolate. The palate and finish are average as well. Overall a pretty solid porter.

Bottle. Chestnut brown pour, nearly opaque in glass with a medium head. Little retention. Aroma of chocolate and coffee, roasted malts. Sweet and bitter flavor. Seems a bit thin for the style.

First off, this beer just looks beautiful. Nice and dark with a thick head that goes away quickly. The aroma is nice and rich with a hint of chocolate. Taste took me a little bit by surprise, but I really liked it after I got over the initial shock. The mix of chocolate and coffee is delicious. I’m now a fan of Otter Creek.

Dark color with a quickly diminishing tan head. The lace slides back into the body in lots of tiny tan bubbles. Mild roast flavor with slightly bitter finish. Slight hint of chocolate on the palate. Not exceptional, but very enjoyable.

Great looking dark pour with a frothy tan head. Nice nutty taste with hint of malt and coffee. Little bit of water taste in the finish. Hurt the total score.

Chocolate aroma. Very strongly roasted malt flavor, actually a little burnt tasting. Rich and smooth with a lingering bitter aftertaste. Very rich, but a lot less sweet than many porters, would definitely recommend

12 oz bottle from beer_pirate. Pours into my English pint glass a clear, dark brown with a light brown head. Roasty, nutty coffee nose. Nice veil of lace. Lightly bitter flavor mirrors the nose and adds a wisp of smokiness. Just a touch on the thin side, not very complex, but far better than expected. A nice drinking porter.
