| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 4, 2004 Bottled 12/30/2003. Opaque dark brown, short-lived off-white head. Smokey, bacony aroma with sweet marshmallow cream notes. The flavor has similar characteristics, starts with powdery semi-sweet chocolate rounded out by that oily-sweetness you can find in good coffee. Finishes with a roasty bitterness. All in all, a well-done porter.
