| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 3, 2009 Bottle from BOM club. Dark tan foam sits on top of a deep brown pour. Aroma is dark roasted grain and sweet malt. The taste is more of the same with bitter chocolate, toffee, and spicy hops. Nice. marcus (1869), Sacramento, California, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 1, 2009 Amber black with a cm of tan head and strong lacing. Aroma is sweet and minimally roasty with a bit of DMS. Roasty coffee taste with carbonation evident and some bitterness, acridness and astringency in the finish. $2/12oz Slipstream (760), USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 30, 2009 This is my first rating from Otter Creek, and it made a good impression. Sweet malt and coffee aroma. A bit of floral sweetness and herbs. Black and headless pour. Impressive fresh porter flavor (no preservatives). Coffee, woodsmoke, cola, and some astringent iron flavor too. A very solid porter - I don’t know what it is about porters - I usually like them a lot, and yet I rarely score them as high as the better Belgians, IPAs, and stouts. Probably they usually aren’t rich enough to be 4 pointers. Hopper (318), San Antonio, Texas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 23, 2009 A dark brown to black beer with a fast disappearing head. The aroma is fruity roastedness & somewhat hoppy. The taste was fruity maybe some roasted flavors but this is hopped a little more than your average porters, & fruitier than I would expect. hogan873 (331), Joliet, Illinois, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 21, 2009 Nearly black with reddish highlights. There is a fairly thin light brown head that leaves a bit of lacing. Nice aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, and malt. Medium-bodied with decent carbonation. Surprisingly complex flavor. Starts with the expected malty sweetness of caramel, chocolate, and sugared coffee. A nice punch of bitterness at the end reminiscent of old coffee. Good beer! Odyn (217), New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 20, 2009 Dark rich color with a good full aroma of roasted malt. Nice even flavor with a lighter body than a lot of porters. Hints of caramel on the aftertaste, but otherwise finishes fairly clean.
