Commercial Description:
This is a traditional porter, made to warm the bones. Nearly black in color, Stovepipe Porter has a rich palate and a roasted, hoppy and slightly herbal aroma.

I nice dark smokey porter that is more like a Scotch Ale then the Winter’s ale.

Otter Creek is a top notch New England micro, and they have created a top notch porter. A rich roasted barley malt flavor, beautifully balanced with hop. Nice dark black color, with a nice creamy tan head. Great roasted malt and hop aroma. Overall, the best porter I’ve found.

A superb porter, as should be expected from this very good brewery. earthy grainy roasty aroma gives you a good hint of what is in store. The flavor has the perfect balance of sweetness, hop bitterness, and bittersweet barley characteristics. Easily one of my favorites.

This is an outstanding beer. It looks as a porter should and tastes better than it should. The simple flavor actually helps this beer out as it allows you to concentrate on just one thing, enjoying the beer.

On cask at Monty's Crown. Poured adark ruby red colour with a thick tan head. This was a great example of an American porter. It has a wnderfully smoky taste with hints of coffee and subtle hints of chocolate. One of the top ten porters in my book. I think having it on cask made it better than I could have imagined it being.

Bottle. A near opaque dark cola red color. White lasting head, with a nose of carmel and coffee tones. Rich malty flavor with a well balance of hops that completes in a semi-dry finish of bitter hops and crystal malted hops
