| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 23, 2004 Poured a nice golden yellow, with a white foamy head. The first few sips I had a hard time getting past - it tended toward the bitter taste I associated with beers I drank in college or high school. But over time it did develop some complexity of taste, and was a very enjoyable beer which I enjoyed. A definite step up from the big three - more body, more flavor, nicely hopped. Definitely detected some fruit. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Nov 9, 2004 I remember a recent RB poll asking if you knew a beer sucked, would you drink it anyway, just to rate it. Thats the thought that went through my mind as I opened this puppy up. Looks like budweiser, smells like dough. Head settled a bit too quick for my liking. Can ya tell I’m stalling till this warms up a bit? Not bad as lagers go but this isn’t far off from the Big 3 either. Otter Creek ought to be ashamed of themselves. Thats all I’ve got to say about this stuff. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 21, 2004 Bottle, from Julio’s. Bottled 7/12/04. Good nose, biscuity, yeasty, toffee, fruity maybe apple or pear. Clear pale yellow gold color. Small head that faded quickly. Sweet flavors, same as aroma, but with a little bitterness. Thin body, kinda creamy. Clean drier finish. Some linguring fruity maltiness. Not bad. Easy drinking. A definate lawnmower.Give to someone who is ready to try more than the big three. Tastes malty, with slight hops, citrus, and pear in the finish. Medium to light palate. AdamSkillin (376), High Bridge, New Jersey, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 25, 2004 The hopping is perfect, giving just the right amount of refreshing aroma in the aftertaste. It finishes beautifully. A crisp clean lager that I’d drink any day. I’m perplexed by the existing ratings, don’t believe them. Try this beer or you will never know what you’re missing. Even among other craft brewed all malt beers, this stands out for its enjoyability, and isn’t that what beer is all about? Suttree (2743), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
