| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 23, 2006 Bottle: Dull golden, hazy, minor white sudsy head, sparce lacing, very light carbonation.   Sour nose, slightly lactic and grainy.   Immediate sourness on the tongue, mash tun & graininess as well.   There is a sligth sweetness too.   Body and mouthfeel are average, at best.   Finishes with a bit of overcooked vegetable.   Not bad, but nothing spectacular.   Wished Otter Creek could put out brews more to the caliber of their Stove Pipe Porter.   Thanks danem for sharing!

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Feb 28, 2006 (12 oz bottle: Obtained 05-Jan-06 in trade with hopscotch, thanks Eric!) Sweet, very grainy and husky, and mildly bitter, this isn’t all that pleasant a beer. While the nose shows that same sweet husky character, it’s also very oddly fruity for a lager, kind of a like grapes actually. Light-medium body is decent, without much carbonation or hops, it shows no verve or vitality on the palate. Medium-dark straw in color and slightly hazy, there are precious few carbonation bubbles rising through the beer. Plus, the medium-size off-white head settles to a film and then small ring fairly quickly, so this beer isn’t even visually attractive. Sampled for rating purposes, but after tasting this, I won’t be sampling it again.
