Commercial Description:
Bottled, filtered, Occasional;
The purest spring water drawn from the River Otter is used to brew this traditional 19th Century-style IPA with a bit of a twist. Handcrafted with English floor malts and our very own yeast, we have added five of the US Pacific Northwest's most citrus-flavored, aromatic whole cone hops to create a new, complex, highly drinkable beer.

Not looking forward to this one. A buddy got this the same time I did and he said it was horrible. Been sitting on it for over a year. Pours a cloudy brown with an off-white creamy head. The aroma is malty, sweet, caramel, toffee, and a hint of hops. The taste is a watered-down bitter, a little sour on the tongue. Not as bad as I dreaded. As I keep drinking it, more of the maltiness sticks with you.

Aroma promises hops by the truckload. Its looks like a beast. Flavor is strong. Hops are everywhere, they can’t hide in this brew. No balance whatsoever, but that is not really a bad thing. This beer tastes stronger that its ABV. I like it.

Pint bottle. Pours cloudy dark amber with a dense one finger creamy beige head that leaves really nice lacing. The nose is caramel malt, floral hops and light citrus. The taste is caramel, earthy hops and tart grapefruit at the tail end. Medium mouthfeel. Hoppier than most English IPAs I’ve had, but not enough for me. An ok IPA.

From the 1 pt. 0.9 fl. oz bottle with no expiration date or lot code markings available. The pour was amber with virtually no head to speak of. The aroma is hardly anything like most IPA"s with a strong scent of malts and barley but very little hops noted. The mouthfeel is about medium and nothing extraordinary. The taste is more like an ESB with dry hoppy finish.

Not my favorite IPA. I usually don’t really enjoy English-style IPAs. This one is thin with little carbonation. A bit of fruitiness in flavor along with some hops.

Bottle. Pours a hazy copper with a finger or so of foamy head. Aromas are crisp hops and bread. Hops presence is bitter English ESB type hops with just a little edge of pine. Flavor is weak on hops. Bread, grain dust and caramel all dominate with a bit of bittering hops pulling up the finish.

500ml Bottle - $4.99 at Bullock’s in Marietta, Georgia. Appearance: Pours a lightly hazy, dark amber body with an inch of frothy, off-white head. Smell: Bready, caramel-coated malt aroma with some sweetish, fruity hints and supporting hop notes of citrus and spruce tips. Taste: Malts coming across as sugary sweet, chewy caramel candy with a distinct breadiness to it. Pleasant estery fruitiness. Spicy rye grain tickles the tongue. Surprisingly hoppy for an English beer, with a nice pop of citrusy, sprucy hop character and plenty of bitterness. Finishes quite dry with a lingering touch of fruit. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Slightly creamy mouthfeel. Drinkability: A nice surprise! Pleasant, well-balanced, and enjoyable. I cleared through the bottle in record time.
