Not a bad brew, solid. Beerlando (2352), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 19, 2007 Courtesy SoLan. Cloudy, dark reddish-brown amber body. Small collection of mega-bubbles on one side of the head, and a wispy film on the other. Minimal spotty lacing. The aroma shows intensely sharp grapefruit and orange hops up front. As it warms, the nose softens up a bit, showing rich, buttery caramel and toffee malts. The flavor is a lesson in extremes. Big, malty caramel and brazen citrus hops battle for supremacy. There is, however, a bit of a strange, grainy wheat flavor that just seems to be out of place and disruptive. This odd characteristic intensifies on the finish, which is long, dry and bitter. Medium-full bodied and slightly syrupy. Overall, big and powerful, yet somewhat strange at the same time. drewbeerme (2306), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 14, 2007 Bonus points for the label. Reddish orange, with a decent sized head. Eggshell? ecru? I’m tired of beige, I need a new description for "off-white". Anyway, It smells very hoppy - grapefruit, mostly, but also a whiff of cinnamon. Very pungent hop flavor, citrusy again, and a long sticky aftertaste. I liked it. Thanks to tronraner for sharing this one at the tasting. NachlamSie (1649), Tennessee, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Oct 13, 2007 Bomber shared at a tasting. Pours a red-orange hue with a small head. Good use of hops in the aroma with lots of pine, fresh spices, leaves, and pot. There is a bit of citrus, but it takes a backseat. I found the flavor exhibited great balance. The malts are not too sweet or sticky, but accentuate the little grapefruit that is here. Lot of pine, garlic, pot, and herbal notes abound, making a semi dry finish. This is a rather tasty IIPA. hopdog (5614), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 1, 2007 Draught at the brewpub. Pours hazy copper with rocky, ivory head. The aroma is strong citrus hops- rather orangey, with some faint resiny ganja notes, guava, and distant biscuit. The flavor is very orangey with a good hop kick right up front, some pine right after. Toasty malt hides behind all the hops. Nice, dry finish.
