Draught at the brewpub. Pours hazy copper with rocky, ivory head. The aroma is strong citrus hops- rather orangey, with some faint resiny ganja notes, guava, and distant biscuit. The flavor is very orangey with a good hop kick right up front, some pine right after. Toasty malt hides behind all the hops. Nice, dry finish.

Good man mike, cool bottle, orange colour with a citrus aroma, it has a grapefruit-kiwi flavour and a sweet finish. I enjoyed

Poured from a bomber. Bright but dusty orange appearance. Floral aroma with plenty of peach and clean urinal cake. Dandelion bitterness. Light toffee underneath. Crisp and cold flavor; the type that doesn’t change much with temperature. Sweet vanilla and rosewater with juicy mandarin orange. A kick of earthy sage with the dry hops. Palate is fairly full, sweet, with a solid dark malt presence being more felt than tasted. No astringency. Carefully balanced, and quite pleasant. Thanks for sharing, Mike!

50th Rating of this brew. Growler via trade with Kramer17801, thanks Jason. Shared with bikesandbeer. Pours dark orange amber with a thin bright white head. The nose is full of citrus and a hint of pine. The nose is also quite subtle. The taste is sweet citrusy and delicious. It reminds me a lot of Alpine beers, the full flavor of citrus with a lot of complexity. This is a pretty damn nice DIPA.

Poured from a growler. Rich, orangey floral daggers fly at my nose. Crisp sugar ans syrup rides out. Pours a deepened bronze. Strong rim of white. Flavor takes a backseat the aroma and holds a lesser sense of hop importance. A nip of thinness and alcohol showing. Malt and honey flow through. Good play between the malt and hops, but sometimes neither holds up their respective end of the bargain. Love the spicy, bready rich finish.

Bottle sampled on 5/10/08: Similar to the tap version with a nice fresh hoppy character throughout and a good sweet malty balance. A pretty nice IIPA.

On tap at the brewpub on 4/9/07: Pours a clear copper orange with a spotty-lacing white head. Big, sweet caramel malty aroma has a lot of grapefruity hops. Body starts with nice caramel malty sweetness and good earthy piny grapefruity hoppy character toward a crisp, slightly warming finish. A good double IPA.

Draft at brewpub. Pours a deep orange amber with an off white head. Aroma of grapefruit, piney hops, and pale malts. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Flavor of pale malts and citrus, that transitions to dry hoppy middle. Not much residual sweetness or juiciness. Finish has a slight hairspray flavor. Not bad, but too dry for my personal tastes.

RERATE. On this visit, this batch seemed to more on par with what everyone else was rating it. More grapfruit and citrus mid palate, as well as dryness pulled back on the finish. I am upping from a 3.4 to 3.9
