Jun 6, 2007 Shared growler thanks to CMUBEERMAN. Pours orange, off white head. Aroma is hops, tangerine, caramel, slightly fuzzy. Flavor is bitter, caramel, tangerine, a little too syrupy.

May 27, 2007 My 100th IPA Rating!!! (including DIPAs) Big thanks to adrian910ss for this growler. Nice hazy-amber color with a medium head. Thick hop aroma with lots of pine, strong citrus, and other sweet hop essence. Flavor was a pleasant hop-blast that really delivers with tons of hop bitterness and citric sweetness. I’m getting lots of grapefruit and some resiny pine plus a nice, yet subtle malt backing that is sweet yet allows the hops to do their thing. I really have to make it up there one of these days. Nice DIPA!

May 25, 2007 Pours a hazy medium orange/brown body with a head so thick it looks like a slice of swiss cheese is laying across the top. A roma is sweet citrus, pine and sourdough. Lots of pine and patchouli in the flavors with a sweet citrus/carmel finish.

May 15, 2007 Hazy pale body with small off-white head. The aroma is cotton candy, herbal and citrus. The flavor is caramel, dough, grapefruit and pithy. Medium body, soft carb and slightly thin on the finish.

May 13, 2007 Updated: Aug 27, 2007I have had this one several times over the years and have remained quite fond of it. Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a dark caramel amber color with a small off white head. The aroma was strong fruity and piney hops. The flavor was very strong pine and grapefruit with a sweet and tangy malt undertone. The finish is long, sweet and fruity. Full bodied.

May 7, 2007 On draft at Ottos, Penn State. Poured hazy copper with pungent piney nose. Perhaps a bit thin, but fantastic citrusy hops. Another impressive offering from Ottos.

May 6, 2007 sampled at the CL RB gathering, courtesy of Dickinsonbeer. Aroma is fresh citrus and pine hops. Taste is fruity citrus hops with a dose of caramel malt, as well as a moderate pine bitterness in the finish. good.

May 5, 2007 My first sample of the day at CL RB gathering. Hand-bottled 22oz provided by Dickinsonbeer. Really fresh aroma, juicy and ripe. Good body and balance to this one, hops were big without being in your face. I liked this better than both Hop 15 and Pliny the Younger.
