Mar 9, 2009 Bottle Pours a deep black with a brown head. Has a nice roasted malty aroma, chocolate caramel, coffee, and smoke. Has a great mouthfeel and the perfect carbination that many beers in this style lack. A real good mouthfell. and great flavors. This is blended very well. The alcohol is not overbearing. Has a great texture and a wonder palete. A full bodied beer. This is just a great beer. Very well done. Another great reason to go to PSU.

Feb 6, 2009 very nice deep black pour with a thin mocha head...poor retention. aroma is of roasted malt, coffee, and mild smoke. flavor has coffe, chocolate, and smoky notes...very nice. mouthfeel is creamy and finish lingers with smoke.

Jan 7, 2009 Another old rating. I think acrdz brought this to kuhnhenn. Black with a tan head. Aroma was a little smokey and had some chocolate to it. Flavor was pretty roasty. This one was pretty tastey.

Toasty malt aroma, with burnt dark chocolate, slight coffee, hints of red fruits. Dark pour with a mocha head. Bitter chocolate, red fruits, buttery with a dead aftertaste...like cheap tequila. Good overall, toasty bitter palate.

Dec 21, 2008 Aroma was somewhat delicate,raosted malting and bakers chocolate floating up,but you really had to concentrate,an Imperial stout should be a little more assertive,roasted malts really come out in flavor and dominate,creamy chocolate and cocoajust a little sweetness, and a slightly bitter finish from the hops and roasted and smoked malts. Very pleasant smoothness ,like there was oats added to this,mildly timid ,but satisfying IS,thaks Kingpin
