Oud Beersel Framboise

Bottle - tasted blind. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has very strong notes of raspberries as well as hints of nuts. The flavor is very sweet - somewhat artificial, with notes of almonds and raspberries and hints of acidity from the berries, leading to a dry alcoholic and bitter finish. But inspite of the alcohol presence the body is medium. Thanks to Papsoe.

(Bottle 37,5 cl) Courtesy of boboski. Clear, orangey brown with an off-white head. Tart and very fruity, berry-like aroma. Medium body with sweetish raspberry notes, some acidity and some fusty accents - cork perhaps. Sweet’n’sour finish. 270408

Draught, Heads Up, Silverdale WA

Muddy, reddish-brown colour. Fresh but a little syrupy raspberry nose with only a hint of brett. A bit of seedy character, sweet raspberries. Clean...very little lambic character save for some late tartness. With any other label, this wouldn’t feel so wrong, but to use the Oud Beersel name on this confection is regrettable.

Papsoes mystery blindtasting beer #3. Pours murky brown, everyone else had a clear and golden orange. Raspberry aroma, dry and fruity and with a mild earthy touch. Flavour is sweet with a light wooden note and a mild earthy touch. Light acidic touch into the finish.

Bottle. Clear orange coloured with a medium sized white ehad. Sweet and fruity aroma of berries and raspberries. Flavour of berries, wood and raspberries with notes of hops. Tart finish. The berries are too dominating.
