The beer was bottled 2003, a slight difference between the small and the big bottle: whilst the carbonation had almost completely faded in the small, the big bottle’s gueuze had just the right carbonation. The aroma was very sweet and fresh and because of the age it had a familiar cellar-like aroma. The taste was heavenly, a bit sour and balanced with a hint of apple. Definately worth a long time storage! WeeHeavySD (3041), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA

Aroma is big full of funk and vineagar. Farm funk, sour, acidic aroma. Taste is big bold, other worldly and full of acidic funk. I feel like I can tell a good gueze from a bad gueze, but amongst good guezes i’m not sure if I can fully discern difference. Full mouth sticky palate overall great full flavors nice to know that the taste of a great gueze can come at any point in a night of drinking. mgumby10 (1858), Jupiter, Florida, USA

Some lemons and citrus fruit. The taste was fairly acidic but nothing overpowering. A little bit tart. Lemons and citrus fruit abound. Its a nice gueze, very refreshing and easy to drink. Nice sour aftertaste in the finish. Excellent gueze. MrBendo (1044), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 16, 2007 375ml bottle. Clear amber with a huge head. Fair lacing. Aroma was sour, with hints of white wine and citrus. A tangy, sour taste that you can feel all the way down your throat and into your stomach. Funky horseblanket sour with a bit of dust. Tangy texture, dry finish. Great stuff. aubreya (676), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA

The aroma was similar to that of a flemish sour ale. It was tart and grapefruit. The flavor was definitely similar to a flemish sour ale. It was tart and very sour. The palate was thin/medium bodied and barely carbonated. The finish was sour/tart. dwyerpg (2545), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 15, 2007 A light funky aroma wiht the horse blanket coming through at the back of the aroma. First and overriding thought is that this beer just tastes carbonated. It has some light funkiness and an okay sourness to it, but it really isn’t anything amazing. A decent gueuze, but probably below average to me. emacgee (1892), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 10, 2007 My first exposure to a gueze lambic and boy do i love it. Pours a murky light tan that looks bright amber when held to the light. The head is thick, light tan, creamy, sticky lace. The aroma is tart, sour, aged mellow cherries, spicy, smells like a flemish sour. The flavor is very tart and sour, sour cherries, very sharp biting flavor. The palate is sour and crisp. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Theis (3791), Denmark
