Commercial Description:
Geuze is a classic among the Belgian Ales, following spontaneous fermentation in wooden barrels (no yeast or sugar added), young and old Lambic are blended; which results in a dry, tart and fruity wine like taste. Oud Beersel Geuze Ale is the white sparkling wine of the ale world.

bottle: a hazy hay colour pour. aroma of tart fruit and some sourness flavour of tart fruit with a nice sour finish, not to overpowering.

re rate bottle best by 2025. (no score change) pours a lively clean apple juice colour with a very large white head with good lacing. aroma has great amounts of funk, some tart crabapple , a background of sweeter malts and hints of fresh cherry, and just light waffs of fresh flower petals. flavour is also tart with plenty of funkyness, with some drying and tart crabapple taste. finish is actually pretty smooth with a nice light malt character and some floral notes. this is such an excellent beer.

Mild, tart nose, big head that quickly dissipates. Starts acrid sweet, a bit winy, then comes the big tart hit. Not nearly as funky as some of the other Geuze, and overall pretty bland with the exception of the solid tartness.

Delicious golden gueuze. Very tart and fruity flavor whose aroma is just as nice as the flavor. Light and bubbly mouthfeel. Wonderful dessert beer, almost like a sparkling wine. Enjoyed this with my beer snob boyfriend. mmm..mmm.mmmm.

I love a good geuze and this one did not let me down. This is a little on the sweet side for the style, but the barnyard funk is there and strong. The taste is light and a little fruity. I will look for more offerings from this brewery and I recommend that everyone give this one a try.

Pours a lightly hazed copper-gold with a briefly tall head of white foam. Tart aroma, not as tart as some lambics or geuuze, but still plenty tart and acidic. Interesting combination of funky flavors – hay, lemon, hard cider, a bit of white wine vinegar, and some cheese. Lively carbonation, and this may sound odd, but I found it rather smooth. Good stuff.

Cloudy amber beer with a large lasting dense white head. Aroma is sour, sharp and crisp with a similar flavour that just fills the mouth.....my first Geuze and very happy.

375ml bottle. not sure of vintage. pours a slightly hazy pale color with nice head. nose is rather funky sorta the barnyard thing and sour. at first sip this beer is really sour. second sip you get more of the complexities. starts off mildly sweet just for an instant then quickly a very dry tartness. finish is extremely dry. actually not an extremely sour gueuze, but very refreshing.
