Mmm lambic. More of these should definitely be available darn it. Very thick off white head. Cloudy amber colored body. There’s really not a ton of difference between this beer and the other Boon Gueze. This one is perhaps a bit drier, less sweet. It really is uncanny how much these beers taste of champagne (at least in terms of the palate). I’ll always be a fan of the Lambik style.

quite a tasty lambic i must say...a typical gueze appearance...very hazy yellowish body with aerated, white head....aroma is huge in tart cherry, yeast, and leather....the flavor and palate will kick your ass! the sour nature of the beer will tear your tastebuds apart...very yeasty and musty flavor, but has added hints of grapes and citrus

12.7 fl oz bottle via trade with FlacoAlto - Thanks Sebastian! Pours amber/golden fairly clear with a whispy offwhite head that stays around a while. Lots of sediment as I got to the bottom of the bottle so i can’t give it a 5 for appearance.. Aroma is yeast, cheese, and some citrus fruit. Flavor is more on the fruity side. Some definite sourness there, some cherry and maybe even a touch of lemon, some apple there too... Sour but not nearly as much so as I would have guessed that it was going to be. Palate is very champagne like, spritzy with a great dry finish... My mouth watered from the sourness all through it but it watered for more when I got to the bottom of the glass... I can’t believe I waited this long to try the style.. It is quite tasty and unique and I can honestly say that I liked it.. Thanks Sebastian for opening the way for a new style for me...

One of the best aromas in beer; it includes yeast, and fruit. Flavor is a little sour but not as sour as some, there is an apple cider quality to this beer that makes it a very approachable gueuze. Flavor has citrus fruit, juniper, some malt, and more yeast. A cloudy orange beer with very little sediment. Great beer.

Pours cloudy orange with medium white head. Nose is newly tanned leather, soured fruit (cherry and lemon), and horse manure. The flavor is very complex. It begins with a very earthy, musty note, progressing to a sour citrus flavor, with increasing sourness and the flavor trending towards cherry and mashed vegetables. No alcohol notes. Balanced towards dry. Complex mouthfeel. Ends with a sawdust/ashes aftertaste. So wierd that such a strange combination is so drinkable.

Orange, cloudy, with a thin head. Big lemon and white vinegar aroma, plus a hint of mustyness. Citrus dominates the flavor at first, with notes of stone, smoke and dust creeping in. Insanely drinkable. As it warms, more hints of smoke pop up. Really enjoyable.

Bottle shared with Hunsell at Café Bar Le Duc, ’s Hertogenbosch. Light blond lambic with a creamy white head. Aroma of sour cream and chesse and horseblanket. Puckering sour lambic with aging cave dust and light sour cherries. Rich mix of sour and fruity notes, earthborne flavours from the cave. Excellent. And a steal at 3 euros in a bar. May 1, 2005.

Cloudy, blood orange appearance with some flocculation. Earthy, yeasty, acidic aroma, blending green apples, grapes, leather and mustiness. Complex, shifting taste: tart, sour, grapefruit, bleu cheese just for starters. Reminiscent of a sparkling white wine. Very dry finish.
