Commercial Description:
Geuze is a classic among the Belgian Ales, following spontaneous fermentation in wooden barrels (no yeast or sugar added), young and old Lambic are blended; which results in a dry, tart and fruity wine like taste. Oud Beersel Geuze Ale is the white sparkling wine of the ale world.

Poured a deep golden orange with big chunks and 1 inch thick head that held firm for quite a while. Decent lacing on the taster glass. The aromas of citrus, vinegar, and skunk enveloped my room. Tastes include sour yeast, green apple, fruity white wine, musty skunk, with a little soy. Aftertaste is huge with sour citrus. High carbonation and prickly fiz on the palate. Good stuff.

cloudy gold with a thin white head. aroma and flavor are both somewhat sour -- more lemon than vinegar, but a bit of each -- and definitely some funk. somewhat thin body. overall it wasn’t too sour and fairly nice.

Bottle. Astonishingly high creany amd lasting white head . Hazy muddy milky light yellow body. Grapefruit lemon barn hay acidic vinegar aroma. Flavor thoug pretty weet for a geuze althogh it has the desired acidity and vinegar graperuit notes. Low carbonation. Long aftertaste.

375 mL bottle from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a hazy orange copper color with a medium head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma is light citric funk with strong peppery herbal notes. Taste is very dry with notes of grapes, citrus, herbs, pepper. Medium bodied. Not a fan of this one.
