Commercial Description:
Geuze is a classic among the Belgian Ales, following spontaneous fermentation in wooden barrels (no yeast or sugar added), young and old Lambic are blended; which results in a dry, tart and fruity wine like taste. Oud Beersel Geuze Ale is the white sparkling wine of the ale world.

12.7oz. bottle Pours very light pale yellow, musty earthy aroma, light compared to other guezes I have tried, lightly sour, fruits, apples, more quaffable than others, crisp, cleaner finish. nice geuze

Bottle. Golden clear body with a fluffy white head. Citric aroma with a distinct sour feel. Lots of grapefruit too. Medium bodied. Medium sour flavour that makes it quite vinous with lots of grapefruit, vinegar and citrus. Ends up pretty dry. Fruity and nice gueuze.

Light yellow pour with lots of haze. Bubbly with a thick fluffy white head. Sweet citrusy aroma. Grape and fruity. Some wood and earth. Surprisingly fresh smelling for a lambic. Slightly sweet as it hits the tongue. A little sour, not too much much.

Cloudy golden-orange pour, big frothy white head with moderate retention, not so much lacing. Lots of musty funk on the nose along with candy sugar and sour fruit; flavour develops plenty of wild yeast sourness though not of the eye-watering kind, well balanced by some tree-fruity sweetness and a good herbal-bitter backbone. Delicate finish, light sparkly mouthfeel.

Thinnish, cold looking yellow pour with no head. Aroma of apples and soured light fruits. Very clean, not too tart or sour. Didn’t stand out much to me overall though.

light sharp notes, almost ammonia levels of funk, but good .. . very clean, very tart, dances on the toe .. . clear gold, light foam ... very intriguing brew .. .lots of odd complexities ... "pay close attention!"

12 oz bottle, best before 2025? Foggy golden straw with a thin white head. Nose is lemon, leather, wood and earth. Medium light with soft carb. Taste is lemon pith, apricot, cherry skin and lime zest. Mostly tart and dry with a hint of candi sweetness. Good starter geuze.
