Bottle from Belgian Belly. Deep Rose (can’t find the acute accent on the effing keyboard) pour with a lasting pinky white head. Drunk this pretty young so it’s full on fruit with a hint of lambic menace. Big cherry nose with a sulphuric edge. Likewise with the taste, all fruit and salty sour with a long, long , dry cherry aftertaste. Top Kriekness but next time I want an older fiercer bottle!

Cherries and funky aromas, vinegar, tart fruits in the nose smells delightful! Pours reddish with a thin pink head. Very tart, sour, a lot of horseblanket, great cherry flavor in there too! There are hints of raspberry and cranberry in there too. Very good lambic!

BB 4/14/2026 Strongly smells of ass and vinegar. Worst smell ever. Ruby red, thick pink head. Extremely sour. Once the initial shock subsides, there are cherries and cranberries at midpalate. Almost undrinkably sour with a horridly off smell. I can appreciate a good sour beer, but this just didn’t taste good.

375mL bottle, BBE4/14/2026. Vigorous pour gets me a a deep red colored beer with big fluffy pink foam that slowly fades to a thin layer. Aroma is cherry pits, oak and funk, just how I like it. Flavor is a little out of whack, real big on the cherry pie filling, then fades into a strange starchy flavor that’s a little metallic. Good but not great.

(3/2/08) Bottle sample at Zythos Bier Festival 2008 in Sint Niklaas. 2007 bottle. Deep red with a pinkish head. Aroma of sour cherries. Dry sour flavor with cherries and some oak. A lively carbonation that creates a very nice mouthfeel.

from 75 cl bottle, saterday 22 march @ Waregems beerfest. Wonderful red beer, nice pinkish head. Sweet and sour aroma. Flavour dried cherries, good sourness, malts. Finish bit wood, sour cherries. Top.

Bottle. Pours red/pink with a pink diminishing head. Barnyard bret aroma. Flavor contains cranberries with good carb, and has a nice sour and bitter finish. Very refreshing.
