Acidic sour aroma with cherries and a cranberry tartness. Intoxicating aroma that makes your mouth water. Color is a dark red. Flavor is very fizzy in the mouth. Little bit thin on flavor. I expected more flavor and body to this brew. Dry and only slightly sour with more of a cranberry taste than a cherry taste. Maybe a little wet oak also. Not much sweetness which I was looking forward to. I guess since this is an "oude" kriek then there is not expected to be much sweetness. Dry tart finish. A decent Kriek but I expected more from this highly rated brew. nicholai (101), Helsinki, Finland

It pours dark red with a lingering head, almost cedar colored. The sourness is surprising, with something almost ashy in the back of the mouth. A very astringent mouthfeel. shrubber85 (2997), Wallhalben, Germany

Pours a really nice pinky/brown red, slightly cloudy with a light pink head which although bubbly lasts pretty well.. Slight lacing and the usual funky lambic aroma but with hardly a hint of the cherries and maybe a touch buttery. Instant zing when it hits your tongue as you would expect. Palate is thinner compared with other krieks but nver the less fantastic. Not as sweet as others too. Personally for a kriek I would prefer a little more cherry but its hard to complain too much as overall it’s excellent. Finish is tart and long lasting. The more I drink the better it gets and I seem to remember thinking that last time I had it also. Complex and refreshing. Surely one of the best krieks. In fact surely one of the greatest beers ever. Wonderful stuff! hezron (604), Viroqua, Wisconsin, USA
