Gorgeous, rosey, raspberry pink color, smallish, and short-lived layer of foam. Aroma: brilliant and bubbly, highly effervescent and full of tart cherries. mmmm, tart, oooo!, my little mouth shrinks back into itself, then return and greets the cherry flavor with new aplomb! Great, scrumptious texture, just floods the mouth and spills out all over. Fresh, and delicious, medium-bodied with a long, lush finish. this is a wonderful thing, and may be my favorite kriek among the several I’ve sampled!

Hazy dark red with a thick pink head. Rich, funky, vinous fruity cherry aroma. Clean cherry flavour but it’s gets more sour, tart and woody finish. Pleasant acidic finish of black cherries, wood and lemon. Simply wonderful...

12.7 fluid oz./ 375 ml. green champagne split bottle. Corked and caged. Freshness date of 11.12.2022. Batch number L 2345 A 06 on back label. Too bad this beer is no longer being brewed, because the brewery went under more than a year ago. Damned shame if you ask me. Anyway, loud pop releases the cork. Poured out a bright cherry red color, with a humongous pink head at first in my Chimay chalice. It slowly settled back to a yeasty pink island floating on top of the beer. Aromas are of sour pie cherries, along with black cherry skins. Slightly vinous. Sour, vinegary aromas, along with the classic Brettanomyces aromas and flavors. Sweet Timothy hay along with horse blanket galore make up the bulk of the aromas in the lambic part of this beer. Tastes are of cherry flavored vinegar, slight acidic background underlying the sourness as well. Definitely an aquired taste. If you don’t like sour beers, stay away from this monster. Medium mouthfeel, and a crisp dank basement bite make for an interesting combination. Finishes dark, sweet, and sour all at the same time. A really wonderful lambic beer. Too bad it’s no longer being brewed.

Medium-dark ruby-like body. Pink and large fizzy lasting head. Sour cherry aroma with a geuze-like barnyard scents (but not too strong). Cherry isn’t overdone in the aroma... its just there and nice. As it warms, I am reminded of cherry liquor. Taste is a big lemon-like cherry tartness that dries the mouth like tannins. Very good, the tartness just distracts a bit. Very fizzy palate, stemmy cherry aftertaste. good stuff!

375ML bottle best before 03 12 2023 drank on 18 8 2004: Cork flies across room, barely misses my head, reddish ruby with a thin small bubbled light pink head. Huge aroma with sour cherries, wood, and yeasty bread. Starts sweet and ends acidic. Medium body, lively carbonation, dry ending with a sour character.

Ruby red in colour. Head is pinkish and average. Aroma is wooden, fruity, acidic and yeasty. Taste is SOUR! Cherry flavor is tart, yet sweet and sour, fruity, vinegary, woody and earthy. Quite complex. Finish is dry and puckring.

bottle reads best before 11.12.2022. gushes on opening, magenta-ruby color with lots of carbonation. predominantly tart cherries in the aroma, some oak and earthy tones also. flavor is a complex mix of cherry, sourness, spices, sourdough bread. excellent beer, not as sweet as lindeman’s kriek.

75 cL bottle. Blood-red colour with large long lasting head. Nice lace. Cherries - especially skin, sour-citric, green grapes, oak, must and dust, dry finale, gets more fruity as it warms. Wonderful mouthfeel... Great.
