Not as dry and tart as I would have thought. Smooth palate with a dominant black cherry and grenadine flavor. The alcohol played like medicine that was followed by a floral and tangy finish. cbkschubert (2016), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA

Very little lacing. Aroma is tart cherry with a hint of vinegar. Flavor is a very tart and bitter cherry. Medium body. A decent beer, but not my cup of tea. wyzzywyz22 (799), Wirral, Merseyside, England

Poured a vivid ruby red with a slight haze and a throbbing pinky head....Ooer missus. Cherry tree in a damp barnyard aroma. Perfectly sour flavour that isn’t smothered in cherry. Dry woody finish. All the elements here equal a fine representation of the style. Qualitee all round. Acknud (792), Morganfield, Kentucky, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 4, 2009 Updated: Feb 2, 2009Pours hazy, berry red with a rather substantial salmon coloured head, which is a rarity for the style! Nose displays sour cherries with a lot of earthy woody notes. There seems to also be some degree of fruit spice aswell, a lot more going than most other krieks. Palate is light and heavily carbonated with more unripe red fruits and earthy must. Finishes with tart acidity and an afterthought of oak. Shows greater complexity than any other example of the style I’ve ever had! LinusStick (1851), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 27, 2008 Wow! Yet another delicious lambic. Near perfect in every way. Aroma was funky and chessy with dirty barnyard. Pour perfect. Deep dark bubbly red with a 2 finger pink head. I was worried this was going to be a sweet fruity LIndemans type lambic. After first sip I was happy to be dead wrong. Delicious and sour. Tasted exactly like a sour version of cherry Pop Tarts with the sour overpowering the cherry in a good way. Heavy carbonation bites the mouth and cheeks. I could drink this everyday. Travlr (787), Washington, Washington DC, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Dec 10, 2008 Deep ruby red with giant bright head. Full-bodied sour, musty, dusty, fruity goodness. One notch below Cantillon, but may approach that level after a couple of years in the cellar. hayduke (1667), Eureka, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 3, 2008 From a C&C bottle, this poured a rich cheery red with a light pink head and lacing rings that look like glue. Nose is of sour cherry, and the mouthfeel is medium and shows a little carbonation. Flavor is bittersweet and strongly of cherry, while the finish is a classic lambic sourness. An excellent lambic.
