Deep red coloured beer with almost no head. Acidic and cherries in the aroma.Sour flavour, lacks carboniation and body, maybe because it’s a bit old. Expired in 2007 but still a nice beer. (Corked bottle 75cl)

Aroma of lilacs, cherry and apple vinegar. Appearance was murky red with creamy pink head. Flavor of sour cherry, apple, champagne, brown sugar and raisins. Palate was fizzy and bubbly. Wow.

375 ml bottle from holiday market. 2004 vintage. pours deep red with a pink head that lasts. aroma of lactic acid, sweetner, cherriers. the flavours has more malty elements showing which is expected considering the weight. i was hoping this would be better and ive still not had a really good fruit lambic. nice beer and drinkable for its weight but nothing special.

Bottle. Pours a light ruby red color with a nice pink head that leaves some lacings. The aroma is nice and balanced with prominent notes of tart cherries, some sweet cherries as well and grass, funk and a hint of apples. The flavor has a pleasant mixture of tartness and sweetness, presented in an enjoyable sequence. The cherry flavors are both sweet and tart. Notes of tart apples as well. Some funkiness, vinegar and grass add a little bit of complexity. The finish is dry with notes of tart cherries and minerals. The body is moderate and the carbonation is very lively which gives the beer a nice effervescent character. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by this one - much more tart and more complex than I expected. Very easy to drink and, all in all, very enjoyable.

37.5cl corked bottle, pours a clear ruby-red color with a light pink head. Aroma is strong with sour fruits, cherries and apples, Flavors is very sour and fruity, cherries and apples, spices, some dry wood and creamy finish. Not sweet at all. Good carbonation and with a good old fruit ballance.

375ml corked & caged bottle, best by 10/4/2029, from grape & gourmet. pours a beautiful, deep, dark, ruby-red with a bubbly, two-finger pink head with great lacing. aroma is great with big, tart cherries, funk, red wine vinegar, autumn leaf piles, and a touch of barnyard and lemon peel. flavor is excellent as well with big, sour black cherry and red grape notes, funky yeast, sweat-sock, dry hay, lemon zest, and salty red wine vinegar with a hint of spice. palate it crisp and very dry with big carbonation and a lip-puckering sour cherry finish. overall, very nice lambic.

Bottle dated best before 10-4-2029. Opens with a very forceful pop of the cork. Pours a deep ruby red color with a large pink head that fades to a lasting ring of pink foam. Deep, vinous aroma with lots of vinegar sourness, mild funk, and a moderately soft dark cherry note. The flavor is dry, grainy and funky upfront with a lasting, tart, dark cherry and spice finish. The body light and effervescent like a nice champagne.

Bottle poured into a tulip. Just had the Oud Beersel Kriek, and now this is the Oude Kriek version...yes, I am certain they are different. Pours a deep burgundy color with frothy pink head. Aroma of tart cherries and some funky yeast. Taste of sweet malt, sweet and sour cherries. Finish is dry and quenching, with very fizzy carbonation. Very tasty, and a bit more tart than the Oud Kriek version. Nice!
