hotstuff (3038), Indiana, USA Oct 14, 2003 I am not very fond of Lambics-Fruit style beers, but this one I truly enjoyed drinking and rating. It poured an average sized ivory head with fine-small sized bubbles that was mostly lasting. The body was clear with very lively carbonation with a red-ruby hue. The nose was that of cherries with a sweet, cherry, sour, tart and tangy flavor. It had a tingly and dry mouthfeel and was light bodied. This beer left a fair amount of lacing on the sides of my glass. This is a Lambic-Fruit beer that I would definitely drink again if given the opportunity.
mar (558), Dallas, Texas, USA Aug 17, 2008 bottle thanks to bhops. great red pour with a small pink head. sour cherry tartness on the nose. very sour on the palate but easy to get down. great beer hands down. kappldav123 (948), Markkleeberg, Germany Aug 14, 2008 Had the "old" version from the eighties. Unlabeled bottle. Copper coloured in the glass. Extrem sourish start, prickly and scratchy, modest fruity, prickling sourish finish, "burning" aftertaste. Very good beer! mabel (1583), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 11, 2008 [1502-20080617] 375mL bottle. Wooden barrelly sour aroma has some cherry fruit notes. Hazy, bright red body with a medium-lasting creamy light pink head and some serious floaties. Wooden sour barrel cherry flavour. Medium body is sour and tart. Very nice.
(w/ jerc) CanIHave4Beers (171), Des Moines, Iowa, USA Aug 11, 2008 Absolutley delicious, bursting with sour cherry aroma and flavor, a good funkyness and a beautiful delicate palate. This could be slightly drier, but then again it’s full of cherries. I’d love to try it after about five years in the cellar. djtimeless (40), Alabama, USA Aug 10, 2008 Pours out red with pink head. Smells of cherries. Taste is sour cherry with some funk. Very tart and dry finish. Nice spritzy fruity beer.
