Bottled: Aroma is light sourly (cider, vinegar). Goilden to orange color. Sourly flavor, cider, cherries and hints of caramel. Light hop bitter end. Don’t like this apple notes very much.

330 ml bottle from Belgium Beers, Antwerp. A firm white head over a deep golden colored body. Modest aroma of sourish-sweet malts. Some yeast and a whiff of dusty hops. Weak malt body, dry and quite anonymous. Light-bodied, watered down mouthfeel. Thin, sharp finish.

330 ml bottle. Amber colour. Clear. Coarse white head. Subtle malt aroma. Hints of nuts and paper. Low carbonation. Flavours are rather weak with a watery finish. Feels a little thin. Papery texture. Finishes a little thin and with a slightly metallic watery aftertaste.

33cl Bottle at home. Light amber colour, white head. Aroma of yeast, wet cardboard, a little musty sourness, malts. Flavour is dry like white wine, yeasty, a hint of caramel and grain. Rather drying mouthfeel. Although not very interesting, this is still different from other Belgian ales I’ve had so far.

Bottle. Amber color and a yeasty and malty aroma. Some caramel and maybe some cider notes. Flavor is pretty boring. Malty and yeasty with some raunchy macro beer tastes. Overrated.

A soft pour into my 25cl tulip glass produces a three-finger thick, pale tan colored head. The beer is brilliantly clear with a bright amber color and a perfectly clear, reddish copper hue when held up to the light. The aroma smells of toffee, quince paste, biscuit like malt, dusty crushed grain aromas, cider apples and lightly tart plum notes.

Quite well carbonated, the beer foams up as it hits my tongue. The beer is fairly dry and definitely light bodied, but not watery. This finishes with a spicy hop character and a lingering hop bitterness that is perhaps a bit more noticeable than I had expected. The malt character here seems a bit dusty and perhaps a bit oxidized. Some flavors reminiscent of cider, perhaps a touch of plum and some maltiness that reminds me of crackers and caramelized bread crust.

There is not a whole lot going on with this beer. It might be a little over the hill as it seems to be showing the affects of some light oxidation at this point. Not bad, but not overly interesting either.

(330ml bottle, BB 01/09) Pours a lightly hazy orange body with a small white head. Aroma of mustiness, dust, yeast, and light citrus. Flavor of yeast, light citrus, candi sugar, and subtle apple.
