Rastacouere (5258), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Sep 21, 2007 Cloudy sand-coloured ale with a huge white foam, fully lasting. Wheat, herbs and spices nose with a certain freshness about it. Well extracted wheat in terms of taste, but not as crisp as it should be in texture. Strong, large-bubbled carbonation. A bit earthy in its dry hop bitterness. A simple and correct example that makes no effort to leave the masses. Bullit (504), Zeist, Netherlands Jul 29, 2007 Hazy yellow colour, big white head. Flavours of banana and spices, maybe some coriander. A bit grainy. skortila (2388), Bunnik, Netherlands Jul 29, 2007 Draught at Oudaen. Aroma of decent wheats. Cloudym yellow coloured with a lasting, white, medium head. Taste is a bit sweet, refreshing, some banana in it, some spice. Actually quite a good weizen. goozen (740), Leiden, Netherlands Jun 3, 2007 Tap at Oudaen, Utrecht: Hazy but a lightly sweet whitebeer with some coriander and curucao-peels in it. MiP (4927), Flensburg, Germany Mar 8, 2007 Draught at the brewpub as Ouwe Daen Echt Utrechts Tarwebier. The aroma is sweet and clovy, quite promising. Cloudy dark golden colour with a big and stable, creamy white head. The flavour is slightly sweet and not citric. There is some clove and teaish coriander to it. Good wheaty mouthfeel. Finishes with a little slightly rough bitterness.
