That was a dumb assumption, since not much work has been done with sake here (relatively speaking). At the risk of adding a relabel, I will add it here however. I do know it is made by Ozeki (USA) and I bought my bottle at the Belfast Co-op in Maine in October 2006 and drank it on 10/14/06. 250mL bottle. Hopefully they have some more left over xmas and I can get some more details. Mostly clear appearance, hint of very light off-white. Not very viscous looking, but produces plentiful legs, though they are not overly long-lasting or thick. Sweet in the nose, but not at all in a sickly-sweet way. Lots of nuttiness lends a more dry quality, while some very mild fruits and bits of unacidc pineapple come through. Very strong aroma as well, dosent take much to discern, nor is the alcohol readily apparent. Flavor is equally as impressive, having probably the lowest amount of acidity I have yet encountered in a non-nigori. Sweet, but again, not outlandishly so. Hard to describe, but it was just really drinkable. No sharpness, no alcohol burn. Not perfumey or "elegant" as you might say, but still clean, polished and full of rice flavor. Almost a hint of marmalade on the end. Fairly light texture, no graininess or syrupiness.
