argo0 (6167), Washington DC, USA Mar 25, 2007 (30cl bottle, served chilled) Looks like water with just a hint of viscosity. Aroma is moderately sweet, plum, almonds, some vanilla. Taste is moderately sweet, almond, plum, light vanilla. Smooth medium-full body, light alcohol burn. I’ve had a very limited number of sakes (and my first honjozo), but this is easily my favorite so far. BückDich (4540), Boise, Idaho, USA Aug 8, 2004 Clear with very little legs. Aroma is toasty & fruity with melon & anise; VERY buttery. Flavor is thick & rich with some alcohol notes. Impact is fruity & long. Decent Junmai but lacks any complexity & subtlety. muzzlehatch (4425), Burlington, Vermont, USA Apr 1, 2008 300 ml bottle from City Market in Burlington VT (March 2008), served cold from a White Winter Winery glass. Very clear, perhaps a slight yellowish tint, a bit oily-looking, very faint legs in the glass.....beautiful delicate floral/coconut aroma with a bit of lychee as it warms up a bit, not a trace of alcohol in the nose....quite sweet and rich on the palate at the front, lightly nutty-milky and malty, drying and becoming assertively alcoholic and somewhat metallic at the finish, but not problematically so....ends rather quickly, warming. Pretty solid overall, perhaps a bit much to drink a whole bottle of (which I’m doing anyway). faroeviking (4134), Faroese Beer Republic über, Denmark Apr 12, 2007 Bottle. Clear. Sweet aroma of rice and flowers. The flavour is soft and dry, sweet rice and some fruit, and alcohol. Nice sweet rice finish. A very tasty and famous sake.Thank you Mitsuko. Tmoney99 (3523), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Apr 12, 2008 Chilled bottle from Party Town. Poured clear color with soft legs. Moderate melons and alcohol aroma. Medium body with a dry texture. Medium pineapple flavor with a medium sweet warming finish of moderate duration. My expectations were met with a good dry sake for #3200.
