Bottled. Dark brown colour with mediumsized brown head. Chocolate, malts, some raisins and some roasted notes in the aroma. Flavour is the same, but feels a bit flat. Didn’t age well.

Bottle. Mahogny with a creamy light brown head. Burnt malts and yeast aroma. Good bready notes as well. Sweet and bready flavours with burnt maltiness. A decent dubbel.

Bottle from Kris wines. Brownish with an off white head. Nose of malt, yeast, some cola and berries also. Taste is much the same with hints of wood and spice, ginger in fact. Pretty much what I expected, a run of the mill Bruin.

A Sim rate (bottle from Kris Wines thanks to Reakt): Roasty, spicy, brown bread aroma. Tart, slightly metallic flavour with malt, wheat. Quite bitter with a very bland finish. OK, but not much body or depth to it.

Bottle. Unclear medium brown color with a average frothy fair lacing mostly diminishing beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, fruit, brown sugar, moderate yeasty, spices. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
