Radek Kliber (3278), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Apr 25, 2008 Bottle 341ml 4% Canadian version
Appearance: Pale gold with fizzy , thin white top. Nose : of wet grain with wet towel , some honey at finish. Flavor/Palate : Medium light bodied with thinner finish , noticeable carbonation. Off frontal feel with decent thin malty ending. Poor, even for industrial standards.
antzman (301), Clarksville, Indiana, USA Jul 14, 2008 Can. I had a customer special order a 30 pack of this. He read somwhere that it is only 55 calories a can. He gave me a can to try out of the goodness of his heart. I know how they got the calories so low, the took out all the flavor. Pours a pale straw yellow with a thin head. Where’s the red hue of the traditional Pabst? The aroma is very thin, almost not there at all. The flavor is, well, it’s not there at all. I really did not taste much of anything in this beer. A hint of hops, and a muted version of the yeast. I think if more Bud Light drinkers would try this, they would switch in a heartbeat. MakeItDrinkIt (50), Portland, Oregon, USA Jul 11, 2008 Crystal clear light straw color with a thin white head. Aroma is very light - a hint of something beer-like. Flavor is also very light, crisp, but with a bit of a cardboard finish. I suppose if it’s 90 degrees plus outside I might find this beer ’refreshing’ if it was cold enough... spikester (356), Salem, Oregon, USA Jul 10, 2008 A suggestion of regular PBR. Very pale gold with a modest head, few lacings. For an American light beer this better than many. Hard to find sometimes. Better than plain water on a hot day but needs to be served very cold for best results. Actually says brewed in Milwaulkie, Wisconsin. riversideAK (1462), Shoreline, Washington, USA Jun 27, 2008 Some buddies decided to try PBRL instead of PBR and I was lucky enough to try one. Light, corny sweetness with a watery finish. I did not really think it was that bad. If you are binge drinking with friends I can see this one being an okay selection. AdamSkillin (363), High Bridge, New Jersey, USA Jun 14, 2008 A lighter version of the wonderful bouquet of off flavors that is PBR. The ick.
