kidmartinek (653), austin, Texas, USA May 8, 2008 Light pale clear golden. Pours with large white head that diminishes quickly. Well balanced hop and malt aroma. Flavor is mild, balanced, and only a hint of sweetness. It’s got enough body to hold its’ own. Clean hoppy taste. Good carbonation, just the right amount for enjoyment. Light lacing. Clean enjoyable finish.
laguerita (54), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 19, 2008 watery lousy pale lager devoid of any complexity of flavor or evidence that there was any effort put into the recipe. on the upside....umm....nevermind. eaglefan538 (2021), Wilmington, Delaware, USA Jul 18, 2008 Updated: Jul 19, 2008I’m a bit ashamed, as I don’t get beers like this anymore just to tick away. In fact, I was fine driking about 10 drinks through the night, none of which were new. But, my collegues found out I had never had PBR, and after declining to join them in their round was ordered one anyway. I choked about half of it down, and well... it wasn’t memorable. Standard pale lager stuff, more on the watery than offensive side. I’m not even going to break this down into corn and other adjuncts and balance. P-A-LEEAAASSEE! Thanks, buds, but my liver was already over-worked, please kindly, no more PBR again! Slipstream (310), USA Jul 15, 2008 Typical pale macro lager, but definitely not the worst. Smooth, with light hops. Watery, but not offensive. Good carbonation. It lacks character and style, and has no soul, but it is not evil and it gets the job done. An effective summer beer that is better than expected, and one can’t complain about the cost to alcohol ratio. zibglover (6), USA does not count Jul 15, 2008 I must say, for the money this is by far the best beer out there. I can get 12 cans for under 6 bucks, and every can goes down smooth. I like to pop open second opening with my can opener which makes the beer go down even smoother. A true party beer. Friday (18), Brighton, Michigan, USA Jul 14, 2008 You know, this really isn’t a bad beer. When I was younger, I used to poke fun at this beer. But, I didn’t know flavor back then either. Now, this does’t compare even close to a fine saaz hopped pilsner. But, for some reason, I like this beer. My dad drank it was he was young. Maybe its in my genes to like this?
